Okay, I want to turn a garden shed, or 'workshop' into a chicken coop….where can I get the cheapest sheds?

Instead of building a big wood chicken coop…I want to just buy a shed/garden storage, and convert it to a chicken coop…so where can I find the best deals on them…I can’t afford anything over 00, and preferably not over 0. Has to be atleast 8′x8′, pressure treated wood, sturdy, etc. I’m in Charlotte, NC

Thanks
I don’t like any of the chicken coops online, they are way too small, & have little or on access. I want something kind of like a mini barn…so that I can go in their with the chickens & I want to store their food in their.

Why convert a shed? Buy a chicken coop!

They are all over the ‘Net, just do a search.

If you don’t need it to brand new, may I suggest going to http://www.craigslist.com ?

Just do a general search for "shed" and you’ll find some pretty cheap deals. Most people just want to get rid of their shed because they want to up-size. Get a trailer and some grunts. I bet you can find what you want for under $500.

My neighbor is an excellent carpenter and recommended us to this site: http://www.myshedsplans.com

Which has directions for every type of shed you can think of!

We built a dog house for it, and treehouse, and still use the information for other little projects.

We saved a little over $600 by doing it ourselves.

Hope this helps a bit! :-)

You will save so much money if you just build a chicken coop yourself. All you really need are a good set of chicken coop plans and everything else is easy as long as you have basic tools like, hammer, drill, screwdriver, etc..

You can find some great chicken coop plans and step by step video guides at: http://www.buildachickencoopplans.com
