Hi so I’m on my student council and were planning a semi based on like red carpet and were low on funds so i need some good diy decorating ideas for a centerpiece that are cheap but don’t look cheap.
thx in advance
Getting the right designs is the all important process of getting a great looking end result to your deck. That’s all to clear when you compare decking that melts into its surroundings, yet compliments and enhances it.
Opposed to those monstrosities that you see where it literally looks like someone dumped a load of wood on the floor then nailed it all together. it just looks out of place? Know what I mean? Like a bad fitting wig! LOL.
It’s important to look at the space that you have, what the gradient of the land is and look at what the decking will be joined to.
For example I visited my cousin and he has had some decking built just outside the rear entrance to his house. His garden slopes down away from the house, so he came up with a clever idea. He actually stepped the decking down (just two steps) before he put the larger seating area of the surface down.
This made sure that the edge of the patio deck wasn’t too high from the lawn when you got to the edge. If he hadn’t have put the step in then the edge of the finished project would have been about 4 feet from the ground and would have totally dominated the garden.
A wise choice I am sure you will agree.
Take your time and come up with a few different designs and ideas. Do you want a rail? What about a curved edge? Would some steps in the deck look good or what about a staggered or stepped edge to the patio area?
Hi, welcome to Plans For Sheds my name is Steve. I am a family man, with 3 kids and yes I am happily married. And if my wife reads this, I am very happily married! My DIY and building skills are OK but when I followed some foolproof blueprints I was able to build my own garden shed plus a play house for my girls. You wouldn't believe what a focal pint it has made in our yard.
