Storage Building Kits & Plans

Drift back in time to the days when people didn’t have nearly half as much stuff as what we have now. Let’s face it most of what we have we don’t need and that’s why we’re always looking for more storage.

Having an extra storage building or garden shed is almost a necessity to keeping your home tidy, uncluttered and running smoothly. And when it comes to kids and constructing new storage there are two main routes you can choose.

You can either buy a pre-cut unit, kind of like a flat pack or you can build your own from detailed blueprints. Both have their good points so it is important to choose one that suits you.

If you have absolutely no DIY experience or you have never built anything in your life then my suggestion is to go to your local hardware store and buy one of the flat pack options. They are so simple to construct these days and all you’ll have to do is literally bolt the four walls to the floor and then screw the roof on. Instructions will be easy to follow and it shouldn’t take you very long to complete.

However if you are a little bit handy and you are looking for something to give you a bit more personal satisfaction, then it may be a good idea to get your hands on some plans. Just imagine how good it will feel to stand back and look at a completed job knowing that you did everything yourself.

I say ‘did everything’, but as long as you follow the blueprints and instructions that you get with sites like MyShedPlans then it should be no trouble at all!

What I really love about building something like a storage unit or shed myself is the sheer amount of designs and blueprints you can choose from. You will be able to get something that fits your needs perfectly and also blends well into the surroundings of your home.

Not only that, but if you are feeling a little more daring you can even slightly adjust some blueprints if you needed an extra inch or two here or there.
