The one I like from modern sheds is the one where a husband and wife is shown and to the right of that picture is a bed inside.

If you were to sleep in one of these which one would be more comfortable with the door closed and lights out?

Why the modern shed over the caravan?

shed/outhouse for a low price?

What house should I pick? Both are huge.?

My family and I are moving house and my parents have found 2 that they really like. We can’t decide what one to buy. Btw, I have 5 sisters and 4 brothers, 4 cars. if that helps. (We only need 7 bedrooms as some can share)

The first one in located in Cardiff, Wales, and is in the city, close to the town centre. It has 7 bedrooms, all really big. The room that would be my one has a walk-in wardrobe. It has 2 living rooms, a conservatory, a dining room, huge kitchen, massive 2 acre garden with summer house, shed and garage, 3 en-suite bathrooms, 2 family bathrooms and a study. Also huge driveway for 4 cars.

The second one is in the countryside in Llanfair, also in Wales. It has 8 bedrooms, entrance hall, living room, huge kitchen/diner, 3 family bathrooms, 3 en-suite bathrooms, study, 1/2 acre garden with shed and garage, off-road parking for 3 cars.

Would you stay in a guest house like this? Is a place like this crazy?

This is a portable garden shed guesthouse. I have thought about buying one of these. Does this little place look okay of wierd?

If you were inside sleeping at night would you close the door and windows?

Here are pictures?

I have never stayed in one of these. What would it be like to sleep in one of these?

If you have not noticed from the pictures once you close the door and windows you can’t see outside.

I have wanted a place like this for years. My concern has been that people will think I’m mentally crazy if I got one of these portable guest houses.

Because of the rough job market I’m almost 28 and living with my parents. Rents in my area are very high and I can’t move out. A onebedroom apartment goes for 00 a month or more.

My parents don’t give me any space even though I’m an adult. They can hear every phone conversation through closed doors and walls.

If I had one of these guest houses my parents would not hear my cell phone conversations.

A know females would think I’m crazy if I temporarily got a guest house like this in my parents backyard.

Even though it would be temporary even for a year a place like this would get rid of some of my depression.

If I lived in a guest house like this it would raise my self esteem.

Living inside my parents house doesn’t work for me.

The area of my parents house is a safe area.

I would much rather have an apartment. Sometimes we have to compromise and be flexible.

If I could afford my own apartment I would have gotten one years ago. An apartment would be my first choice.

In terms of a kitchen I could have a hotplate, microwave and a small dorm fridge.

I could use the restroom inside the main house.

Luckly enough I live in a climate where it doesn’t get colder than 50 degrees at night in January.

If you stayed in one of these would you close the door at night? If you have not noticed this little cabin does not have windows.

Where I live we don’t have ice storms. It doesn’t get freezing cold outside. The very coldest it gets outside is 50 degrees.

You can hook up electricity to this garden shed.

If your teenage daughter were to sleep in the backyard cabin at night how would you feel as a parent?

If your teenage daughter were to sleep in your backyard garden shed/treehouse would you come by and make sure the door was closed and lights were out?
A teenage girl I know wants to sleep in her parents garden shed/garage on some weekends? Her mother wants to make sure the door is closed and lights are out for her safety. The garage/garden shed is a seperate building from the house. The girl enjoys this place as indendance. Even though her parents worry about her for her safety she doesn’t like the idea that her mother comes by at night to close the door to the outside and turn out the lights. Even though her mother locks the building door the girl can still open and unlock the door.
This girl is only 15 years old. Should she still continue to enjoy this garage/garden shed or give up?
The girls garden shed door only opens to the outside. In order for her to get to the main house she has to open the door and walk outside through the backyard.
This girl enjoys this little place
This girl wants me to paint the inside of the shed with her. She wants to paint the inside walls which are just light wood on the inside. The door on the inside is a panel door that is just polished wood.
What colors should she paint the door and walls?
She feels closed in to sleep with the door closed. The mother comes to check on her to make sure she is asleep. The mother walks inside later at night to check on her.The girl lives in a safe area away from a city. She enjoys this becasue its like camping. The inside of the shed has a cott and a wood floor.
She enjoys the garden shed/cabin because she can hear the crickets at night and the birds in the morning.
The garden shed is almost like a camp cabin. It has a door with a doornob like a house would have. Unfortunatlry the windows are wooden shutters. This means that if you close the windows the cabin gets very dark inside.
The walls inside the cabin are woodfinish stained wood.
The cabin has no bathroom inside
The girl doesn’t mind that their is no bathroom inside. She would either go inside or go outside and rough it and go outside in the trees.

The girl would only sleep there in weekends. Maybe once a week at the most.

She is going to keep a key to both the cabin and the main house. The cabin is not in a tree its flat in the backyard.

The lock can be opened from the inside. The door and locks is like a regular home doornob. If the mother locks the door the girl can unlock it from the inside.
She lives in a country area. It doesn’t bother her that her mother comes to check on her.

If a teenage girl would be paintind the inside of a garden shed cabin what colors should she paint it?

If a teenage girl is painting the inside of her rustic cabin/garden shed in her parents back yard what colors should she go with? She has wood floors and wood walls. The door on the inside is a woodfinish.

The cabin has no bathroom inside. She will be sleeping inside on some summer nights. Since she has windows that are like shutters she will not see anything while inside at night. She wants to paint the inside of the door and shutters a different color than the walls. What colors do people recomend for the shutters and door?
While inside she plans to close the door and shutters. Her desk and cott and going to be looking at the door. What color should she paint the door?
I wnetioned white and she said white makes her feel depressed. She wants one color for the walls and another for the door and windows.

I thought of a very temporary solution to me moving out of my parents house. Building a garden shed.?

July 2nd, 2010 3 comments

Even though this is very basic and silly I have thought about setting up a garden shed in my parents backyard that I could put a cott or bed in. This way I could have some privacy and space from my parents. My laptop has wireless internet. Since the wooden garden shed would have electricity I could pug in a electric portable heater.

The shed would have a concrete floor that I could put rugs on.

The only disadvantage to the shed would be no windows inside or restroom inside. I could go inside the restroom inside the house.

I’m not hand enough to install windows. The inside of the shed would have a wood panel wall and a door that is unpainted. To solve the window solution I could paint the inside of the door a color or design that is something nice to look at.

On thing that may bother me is closing the door while inside at night sleeping. I guess I could get over that.

My parents house is located in a very safe area.

The backyard is gated and fenced.

I’m in my late 20s. We don’t have a basement in our house. This garden shed has a locking door and is very hard to break into.

I could buy this camping tent heater to put inside a shed. It does not casue flames.

Where I live we have very mild winters. The coldest it gets is 60 degrees at night. Winds arent a paroblem. The shed could be insulated I guess.
